Zone trip to Venice

We went to Venice as a zone November 15, 2007. We all took trains and met at the station. There were 16 of us--15 elders and one sister!
We walked forever, and loved the city! The beauty of the colors, the water, the boats is captivating! The age and history of the place spoke to our souls. There is no place on earth like Venice!
The pigeons are everywhere! It is against the law to harm them, but they make themselves a nuisance. They've taken over St Mark's Square, and have no qualms about landing in hair and on shoulders.
We love being with the young elders! They add fun and variety to our lives. On our way out of the city Elder Openshaw treated them all to gelato at one of the many gelatterias.
We would have loved to take a gondola ride, but at 80 Euro ($120) each, we decided to pass!
We went home tired, saturated with the mystique of Venice!
